Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. After relocating to Oxfordshire around the age of five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. As a young girl of 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes in acting, singing as well as dancing. When she was 10 years old, Emma took part in numerous Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theater instructor. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had eight consecutive auditions. Emma's first cinematic appearance was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The movie broke all records on its opening and weekend ticket numbers, and was the top-grossing 2001 film. It was highly acclaimed by critics, as were the performance of three starlets. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance was recognized and won five awards later for the movie.
