Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. His debut album ADN came out through La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album made it to the 8th spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca, an album that was a Top Five hit. He also collaborated together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the hit La Bachata was released. His mother and brother were musicians when they were born. He's said in interviews that music is a must. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar, piano, and ukulele as when he was a child. His original plan of action was to be a veterinarian But his older brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban teacher. What he got was learning that he possessed talents for singing, changed the direction of his life.
